Venice, Italy
I arrived in Venice for a 12 day stay, having found out 2 days prior that my models were not going to make it to meet me. So i had places booked, and plenty of things to see, so i made the best of it. Half way through I went over to Cinque Terre for a quick visit, and came back in time for the Biannale and a glorious art fest it was. This was the show when Damien Hurst displayed his Treasures From The Wreck of the Unbelievable
Venice, the capital of northern Italy’s Veneto region, is built on more than 100 small islands in a lagoon in the Adriatic Sea. It has no roads, just canals – including the Grand Canal thoroughfare – lined with Renaissance and Gothic palaces. The central square, Piazza San Marco, contains St. Mark’s Basilica, which is tiled with Byzantine mosaics, and the Campanile bell tower offering views of the city’s red roofs.
